Prime Health Services was founded by Brian Sharp and three other PPO network experts in 2001. Originally a Tennessee-focused network run by a Nashville hospital, Comp Plus turned into Prime Health Services, Inc. in 2001 and was spearheaded by Sharp, who has been the sole owner since 2007. From a network of 12,000 to now over 800,000 medical providers in-network, Prime Health PPO is a vast, strong preferred provider network with representation in all 50 states, from rural areas to metropolises. Once only a strong regional PPO network, Prime has grown into so much more as it now serves the top insurance carriers, employers, governmental agencies, self-insureds, and corporations as their primary PPO network and cost containment solution.
